| This album contains our last show at
Democrazy. This club holds about 300 people, sometimes a few more. That night the
bathrooms were leaking into the backstage. The air was so hot I could feel my skin. after
the show the promoter gave us good food. Later, at four or five in the morning, we stopped
the bus to sit outside, drink rum and look around. I want to thank all the listeners we met who think of rock music as something more than just background noise, and the industry people who think of it as more than a commodity, and the Swingin' danglers - who thought these good things about our music - and the soundmen, agents, and other wise friends who travelled with us, enduring some times endless strings of great and terrible shows; and Joe Becker, Steve Tesluk, John Von Feldt, Steve Siegrist, Frank French and Bill Standard; Lisa, ML and Skip; and Kevin Staydohar. I had a dream that we were mastering the live album and on the tape I could hear a little girl standing near the soundboard. During some loud guitar squeeking at the end of "Yoo Doo Right" she said, "Mommy, this part sounds like goats." One more thanks to anyone who has ever actually said we sound like goats. Guy Kyser. Additional thanks to: Lisa Fancher & past and present Frontiersmen;Camille and everyone at Paperclip, Dave and Charlie at Real Time, Christof Ellinghaus, Thimas & Roskilde, The Nottingham People, Andy and Chim, Peter & The Foundation Agency and Allan Jones & Melody Maker and of course all the Danglers. |
