Coming straight down the pike and 2 miles passed the point.... listen.... more or less.... This is a sandwich of selections from four previously released records... plus a handful of unreleased songs at the time. Included are songs from "Giant Sands'" 1st & 2nd L.P.'s, Valley Of Rain and Ballad Of A Thin Line Man. The point being that all these records are shy. You half had a hard time even knowing they're out there. Some are imports and others were handled by shy distributors. Let me also point out, for the records.... Both bands are one and the same.... sometimes at the same time. Even I would suggest you buy all the other records mentioned cause they are very pretty.... but that would be difficult and costly.... and maybe a step backwards. There have been some tracks however that are still worth wearing out, so this label was kind enough to issue this collection at an affordable price and set the past straight. So come with me now on a journey.... to the belly of yesteryear.... where the air is big and crunchy.... where little kids have something to think about.... and people of all kinds never go barefoot on stinky black pavement.... a place as big as your imagination but smaller than cable, a place called Giant Sandwich.
